BEST TIME TO
TRAVEL TO VERMONT

Precipitation is moderate all year long with snow being very intense in the winter, early spring and late autumn; most of Vermont is under snow in this period.

Cold affects Vermont in the October-Spring period, specially in Northern regions, with very severe snowfalls.

Most visits to Vermont are centred in winter (to Killington, Stowe and other few winter resorts), due to the snow. If you aren't a lover of winter sports, then late spring, summer and early autumn are the best periods to visit Vermont.

WHEN NOT TO GO TO VERMONT

You should avoid winter - or even November and early-mid spring - if you aren’t going to enjoy the winter mountain resorts and the snow activities.

Many travelers visit Vermont to see fall's foliage in Autumn, specially in the first half of October. If you want to avoid crowds, skip this period.
