Best time to visit TEXAS

Texas offers many travel attractions, but do not expect Hawaiian air temperatures (and summer beach activities) during the winter months – even in the southern Gulf Coast, where millions of North Americans look for winter refuge.

Similarly, do not expect mild temperatures during the summer, in most popular travel destinations. Houston is well known for its harsh summer weather. High levels of humidity and heat waves can make the weather unbearable – leaving people to look for refuge in Galveston or other coastline resorts.

As to the best time to visit Texas, it depends on what you enjoy most.

For those who love mild weather, Spring and Fall are the best times to visit the main tourist attractions in Texas: Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, the Hill Country, the Gulf Cost. But again, months such as April, or November may not be the ideal for swimming in the sea, or for river and lake based activities

And do not forget a simple rule, extensive to all the North American territory: the climate is very changeable and with wide variations not just from region to region but also from year to year, month to month and day to day.
