Best Time to Visit Wisconsin

Wisconsin is much more than just cows, milk and beer. Wisconsin has a diversified set of landscapes and travel attractions: water sports and beach life (Wisconsin is bordered by the Michigan Lake and the Superior Lake, and has around 15000 small lakes); city entertainment, nightlife, cultural life and  other city attractions in places as Madison or Milwaukee; snow-sports, waterfalls, lakes to fishing, camping, swimming and boating in largely pristine and wild regions
(in the Bayfield Peninsula and the Apostle Islands); indoor entertainment sites as the House on the Rock (in Spring Green) or the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum (in Hayward, near Bayfield).

WHAT TO VISIT IN WISCONSIN

Wisconsin Map

Milwaukee and Madison are top travel destinations for entertainment, animation, or nightlife and cultural life.

The Apostle Islands is a largely pristine area, excellent for snow-sports and outdoor activities.

Door County has excellent resorts and shorelake life.

Spring Green, near Madison (a vibrant college town), offers the nowadays major travel attraction in Wisconsin: the House on the Rock, and some top architectural examples of Frank Lloyds work.

BEST TIME TO VISIT WISCONSIN

If you want to privilege animation and sea life and sports, then Summer
(and late Spring and early Fall) is the right time to visit Wisconsin.

If you just take into account the weather, Autumn or late spring - with their agreeable and warm days and temperatures - are excellent times to visit Wisconsin.

Great Lakes' winters are severe, with occasional snowstorms and intense rainfalls, and Wisconsin's winters don't escape to the rule. Snowstorms and ice storms are current in December, January and February.

WHEN NOT TO GO TO
VISITS WISCONSIN

You may want to avoid the winter months, when temperatures attain very low levels, and occasional snowstorms strike Wisconsin.

If you want to bet in low accommodation rates, then July and August aren't good months. Besides, humidity and high temperatures may also turn some days of July and August very uncomfortable in southern and central Wisconsin.
