WHAT TO VISIT IN RHODE ISLAND?
Rhode Island is a tiny state - by far the America's smallest state, located in a coastal corner between Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Newport and Providence are its major geographical references.
BEST TIME TO VISIT RHODE ISLAND
Rhode Island weather is very changeable, with moderate precipitation all over the year, brief heat waves in summer and very cool weather in winter or even in the early spring. Snow is concentrated in winter months.
Comparatively to New York City, there is slightly more precipitation and snow in Rhode Island. See Providence Weather Table.
Late-spring, late-summer and early-fall are excellent months for visiting Rhode Island, unless you love winter outdoor activities, or want to enjoy some beach and sea resorts life in summer.
Since Fall's foliage is particularly popular, causing millions of weekenders to demand New England, you may want to avoid Autumn's weekends to avoid throngs.
WHEN NOT TO GO TO RHODE ISLAND
Avoid the winter months, when temperatures may attain very low levels.
Some days of July and August may be uncomfortable due to humidity and high temperatures.
