BEST TIME TO VISIT AND TRAVEL TO COLONIAL VIRGINIA

Unless you want to enjoy the beach summer life, summer isn't a good period:
Virginia's summer is often hot and humid.

Winter and early spring aren't the best seasons for visiting Virginia also, as it is usually rather cold. It's also a very unpredictable weather, with moderate precipitation all year long (snow is normally restricted to December and January and to the colder regions.)

Considering the weather alone, then the best time to visit colonial Virginia would be mid and late spring - May, June – or late-summer and autumn.

If taking crowding in the themes parks or the accommodation prices, then, in that case, spring and winter are good periods
.

WHEN NOT TO GO TO VIRGINIA

For many people Virginia's summer should be avoided. Humidity and high temperatures may turn some days of July and August into very uncomfortable for days for a visit. But, curiously, summer is the most popular season and its weekends - and autumn weekends - are particularly packed (especially Saturdays).

For other people, winter is also a period to avoid due to the possibility of snow and very cold weather.
