Spring is the best time to travel to the south parks of Utah: Spring has mild temperatures and very good weather and many park plants are blooming. Fall is also a good season, with agreable temperatures and less people (particularly in October and November) and better accommodation deals.
WHEN NOT TO GO TO ARCHES, CANYONLANDS AND MOAB
Summer is a popular season but is is also a very hot and crowded period.
Winter has many nice days, but it isn't exactly the best period for outdoor activities. Tours may be cancelled due to weather conditions.

Moab is 240 miles away from Salt Lake City International Airport. Moab regional airport is 15 miles from Moab's downtown and offers daily scheduled services to Salt Lake City airport. There are regular shuttle buses between Salt Lake City and Moab.
