BEST TIME TO VISIT LAKE MICHIGAN SHORELINE AND ITS CITIES
Summer is the most popular period to visit. Most of the festivals and animation in Lake Michigan cities take place during this time.
Unless you are interested in skiing and winter sports, or in indoor theme parks, you may want to avoid the severe winter cold.
If you privilege warm and agreeable weather, Autumn is also a good time to visit the Lake Michigan shoreline. Autumn provides a stunning foliage spectacle, and very nice days.
As for Spring, this is an often chilly and rainy season. Early and mid Spring, late Fall, or even Winter, are ideal times to enjoy indoor activities (the year round water and theme parks in the Michigan Lake coastline, museums and other indoor activities) and benefit from lower accommodation rates and fewer crowds.
WHEN NOT TO GO TO LAKE MICHIGAN SHORELINE AND ITS CITIES
You may want to avoid the winter months, when temperatures attain very low levels, and occasional snowstorms strike the Lake Michigan shores.
If you want in low accommodation rates, then July and August should be avoided.
