Best Time Visit Florida
Though part of Florida, the Panhandle has many things in common with its neighbour states of Georgia and Alabama. Tallahassee, the capital of the state, is located inland, but most of the travel attractions of the state are in the coast, where there are hundreds of miles of unspoiled white sand beaches.

WHAT TO VISIT IN FLORIDA PANHANDLE AND TALLAHASSEE
The inland Panhandle is mostly remote and wild (the Apalachicola National Forest is a great example of inland wilderness of the Panhandle). It's in the coastal Panhandle that hotels and travelers have appeared in large scale in recent years, looking for its largely untouched beaches.
Tallahassee, the state capital of the Panhandle, has some historical places to visit, and its downtown has some interesting historic museums. But it's a rather small and generally quiet town.
The big travel attractions in the Panhandle are the magnificent white sand beaches and their warm and clear sea waters.
BEST TIME TO TRAVEL TO FLORIDA PANHANDLE AND TALLAHASSEE
- The most popular period (and the best, probably) to travel to the Panhandle is between May and October (and mid March to mid April for college students looking for parties).
- If you are thinking of swimming and sunbathing, do not choose winter months. This isn't the best period, unless you're searching for golf, biking, tennis or other non-beach activities. Winter months tend to be too chilly.
- Humidity is high in the summer period, and it rains less in the winter than in the summer, but summer vacations aren't significantly affected by showers.
- Specially packed periods: mid March through mid April is a relatively crowded period in the main coastal beaches, due to college students arriving. So, unless you intend to participate in the festivities, you may want to choose another period to visit.
- Other crowded days: Presidents' Day weekend (February), Memorial Day weekend (end of May), the Fourth of July, Labour Day weekend (September), Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's.
