WHAT TO VISIT IN JACKSONVILLE

Jacksonville's old town offers some interesting spots: the Florida Theater, the Museum of Science and History, the Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art, the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens... The Metropolitan Park and the nearby Jacksonville Jaguars home (the Alltel Stadium) also deserve an attentive look.

For a fifteen minutes overview of the old town, take the Skyway Monorail, which will drive you from the Convention Center to Hamming Park.

Jacksonville's beaches

Ponte Vedra - in the Southeast of Jacksonville - is a rather exclusive beach, surrounded by luxurious mansions. For less exclusive beaches and for surfing, the Neptune Beach and Jacksonville Beach - a little north of Ponte Vedra - are better places. Jacksonville Beach offers a water park and other amusement facilities. Neptune Beach offers an interesting gambling center.
