WHEN NOT TO GO TO VIRGINIA

For many people Virginia's summer should be avoided. Humidity and high temperatures may turn some days of July and August very uncomfortable for visits. But, curiously, summer is the most popular season, and its weekends - and autumn weekends - are particularly packed (especially Saturdays).

For other people, winter is also a period to avoid, due to the possibility of snow or bitterly cold weather.
