BEST TIME TO VISIT AND TRAVEL TO COLONIAL
VIRGINIA
Except for those who want to enjoy the beach summer life,
summer isn't a good period:
Virginia's
summer is often hot and humid, and only moderated by ocean breezes.
In the same way, winter (and even early spring) isn't the best
season for visiting Virginia. may be cold and
disagreeable. It's also a very changeable weather, with moderate
precipitation all over the year (snow is normally restricted to
December and January, and frequently restricted to colder
regions.)
If we only consider the weather issue, then the best time to
visit colonial Virginia is undoubtedly mid and late spring - May, June – or
late-summer and
autumn.
Besides weather, you may want to ponder the crowds present in
the themes parks, or accommodation prices. And in this case,
spring (and winter) are good periods...
WHEN NOT
TO GO TO
VIRGINIA
For many people
Virginia's summer should be avoided. Humidity and high
temperatures may turn some days of July and August very
uncomfortable for visits. But, curiously, summer is the most
popular season, and its weekends - and autumn weekends - are
particularly packed
(especially Saturdays).
For other people, winter is also a period to avoid, due to the
possibility of snow or bitterly cold weather.
