BEST TIME TO VISIT THE GULF COAST, TEXAS
The summer weather in the Gulf Coast is subtropical, with temperatures persistently around the 90ºF / 32ºC. Summer months are the most popular time.
Winters tend to be mild, with average temperatures around 50º-70ºF; temperatures rarely drop below 40ºF-50ºF / 4-10ºC. The winter is a great time to golf and surf or for bird watching and fishing.
Spring and Fall are excellent months for a visit. Typically, general weather conditions are agreeable, with high average temperatures ranging from 80º-90ºF (27º-32ºC) and low average temperatures ranging above 70ºF (21ºC). Fall is especially popular as a fishing season, with competitive accomodation costs.
WHEN NOT TO GO TO THE TEXAS GULF COST
Summer - and the two-week Spring Break period, with hundreds of thousands of college students - is the most popular period, but also a busy one with high hotel prices.
