WHAT TO VISIT IN SAN ANTONIO

San Antonio River Walk is an obligatory and romantic reference in San Antonio's downtown. The several San Antonio missions (the Alamo, in downtown, is the most popular) are other big reference in San Antonio travel offer.

In the cultural side, the Buckhorn Museum, also in downtown, is another obligatory visit. But there is other excellent cultural-travel options in downtown: the San Fernando Cathedral, the Spanish Governors Palace, La Villita (the historic center), or theMexican Cultural Institute and the Tower of the Americas (in Hemisfair Park).

For music and nightlife the River Walk and La Villita districts are the best options.

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL TO SAN ANTONIO AND CENTRAL TEXAS

San Antonio is a year-round destination, but Spring and Fall, with their mild temperatures, are the best times to visit the city.

Summer is a bad season for travellers who want to avoid heat and humidity: Summers tend to be too hot and too humid, with often violent (though brief) thunderstorms. 

Winter isn't usually a bad time to visit San Antonio, but you may face the possibility of very low temperatures.

You may also want to equate the festivals issue - an  interesting feature of San Antonio. In this case, take into account the schedule of the most important festivals:

WHEN NOT TO GO TO SAN ANTONIO AND CENTRAL TEXAS

Summer is too hot and too humid and 
Winter has regular cold snaps you may want to avoid. 

If you also want to avoid the hurricane season, then do not go in the June trough October period.

HOTELS AND FLIGHTS TO SAN ANTONIO, CENTRAL TEXAS

Downtown hotels tend to be luxury and expensive - reflecting the cost of the San Antonio River Walk romanticism, joys and opportunities.

Most inexpensive hotels are in I-35 and Congress Avenue. But B&B might be a a better option. Try, for B&B:
