and Buffalo
Niagara – around 45 millions gallons of water falling every
minute - is a top travel reference of the New York State.
These impressive falls stands right in the border with Canada,
400 miles / 650 Kms
from New York (Toronto's airport: 80 miles / 130 Kms; Bufallo's
airport: 25 miles / 40 Kms).
Buffalo and Cooperstown (two Erie Canal towns) are two other
major tourist references in the zone. Buffalo is an important
alternative accommodation base to local Niagara hotels.

TO VISIT THE NIAGARA FALLS
If we only consider the weather, then the best time to
visit the Niagara Falls is undoubtedly from mid-spring (May)
until the early-fall (September).
But for many
people summer
period should be avoided due to the crowds. May, June and
September are, in this view, the best months.
