The Atlantic shores of New Jersey offer around 130 miles of almost continuous resorts. Atlantic City (an intensive gambling center), Cape May and Spring Lake are the most interesting.

Newark 
A major shopping center and home of the main airport, just at the edge of New York.
Atlantic City

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL AND VISIT ATLANTIC CITY AND THE NEW JERSEY SHORE

New Jersey shore weather is very similar to that of New York. It's changeable, with moderate precipitation all over the year. Snow is restricted to the December-March period.

Temperatures tend to be more moderate, and there is less snow in the winter than in New York.

Mid-spring - May, June – or late-summer and early-fall – September, October are excellent months for visiting the New Jersey shore, unless you want to enjoy the beach life of New Jersey sea resorts (the summer months are, in this case, the best).


WHEN NOT TO GO TO NEW JERSEY SHORE

Weekends tend to be very crowded, and you may want to avoid them, as well as the winter months, when temperatures may fall very low.

Humidity and high temperatures may turn July and August uncomfortable months in some New Jersey's sites, though this may me softened or inverted in the beach resorts.
