Indians.

BEST TIME TO
TRAVEL TO THE EVERGLADES PARK
You can visit the Park any
time
of the year, but the best time to visit the Everglades is
undoubtedly winter, after summer floods in the prairies receded.
Summer is a bad season to visit the Everglades: mosquitoes,
humidity and afternoon storms make visits uncomfortable and
reduce most of the park activities.
As an alternatively to winter months you may
opt by transitional months as March
or September, or October and November. They are also good months to
visit the Everglades with one advantage: hotel rates are lower
than in the most popular season.
Some additional notes:
- June to October is the hurricane period,
but US National Weather Service tracks carefully these storms
and gives ample warning if there is any need to evacuate.
-
Especially packed days, weeks and weekends:
Presidents' Day weekend (February), Easter
week, Memorial Day weekend (end of May), the Fourth of July,
Labour Day weekend (September), Thanksgiving, Christmas, New
Year's.
WHEN NOT
TO GO TO THE
EVERGLADES
Avoid the summer season (June to October). The Everglades Park
activity is in its lower level, and mosquitoes, humidity and
afternoon storms make the period a very disadvantageous one.
