ORLANDO - WALT DISNEY?
Orlando Disney World comprises four major theme parks:
- the Magic Kingdom, themed around Walt Disney movie characters
- the EPCOT center, dedicated to science and technology
- Disney-MGM Studios, connected to Disney's movies
- the Animal Kingdom, dedicated to animal wildlife
Besides these main parks, the complex involves other parks
and facilities:
- two top water parks: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.
- the Disney's Wide World of Sports: a sports park.
- the Pleasure Island, a park for dance, eating and drinking.

WORLD
The number of visitors to Orlando and Walt Disney World varies
greatly all over the year. The busiest periods are at holiday
times (Summer, Christmas and Easter).
Busiest periods has advantages: the parks are
open untill later and there are more parades and more fireworks.
But they have an obvious strong downside: the long lines
for attractions.
Very crowded periods
Christmas through New Year's, Fourth of July WeeK, Spring
Break (1st week of March until mid April), Memorial Day Weekend,
Summer Break (2nd week of June until 2nd week of August),
President's Day until the end of February
Quieter months and periods:
January, September, end of April, early February, Labor Day
weekend, first two weeks of December, begining of October until
Thanksgiving, week before Christmas.

WHEN NOT

Weather and visits
Summer is probably the worst period to visit Orlando and Walt
Disney if we just consider the weather issue:
Summer involves plenty of heat, humidity
and often thunderstorms (rain is less problematic since it
rarely lasts long).
Obviously, you might minimize these drawbacks: since the problem
is very circumscribed to the afternoons, you may take a break in
these parts of the day, and enjoy the mornings and the warm night-times
to visit Orlando theme-parks and attractions.

ACCOMMODATION WITHIN WALT DISNEY WORLD
OR OUTSIDE?
Accommodation prices in Walt
Disney World own hotels are much higher than outside, and may be
problematic if not booked some months ahead.
If you do not consider as essential the free transportation, the
possibility of earlier access to the parks and other facilities
associated to Disney own accommodation, accommodation in a place
as Lake Buena Vista (just 15-20 minutes drive) is a good bet.
